Pioneers in the diagnosis for the image of women

We are the first center in Barcelona to implement the combination of ultrasound and mammography.

Ours breast studies are aimed at prevention and detection through excellent, advanced and efficient medical imaging techniques. Three out of ten cases of breast cancer are detected in the early stages, where the tumor is easier to treat and there is a wider range of possibilities to eradicate it.

We have a medical team specialized in breast imaging, which gives close and fully personalized attention.

With mammograms we detect small tumors and other breast ailments early. When do I have to have a mammogram? Faced with abnormal breast symptoms, such as palpable nodules, skin or nipple retraction to, discharge ... Annually from the age of 40 or, in case of family history, from 35.

It is a complementary technique to mammography, not a replacement, which is usually combined with this and physical examination to get a more detailed diagnosis of breast cancer. It is a technique based on ultrasound, painless and without ionized radiation.
We use it as an initial study technique in symptomatic women under 35, in pregnant women, in mastectomized women or with inflammatory pathologies. And as a complementary mammography technique when this has been negative, despite a palpable lesion, when there are risk factors, as well as to detect if an abnormality is benign or cancerous.

Thanks to the great technical advances of the sector, today we are able to obtain high quality images of female pelvic structures to detect pathologies or uterine malformations, among other effects.

We perform ultrasound or Doppler ultrasound to visualize the female reproductive system. This type of ultrasound plays a fundamental role in the early detection of gynecological pathologies, such as ovarian cancer, which with a detection in the initial phase greatly improves the survival rate of patients, as well as favors less aggressive and more effective treatments. In addition, thanks to the Doppler effect, we obtain information about blood velocity and displacement.

Determining our Bone Mineral Density (BMD) is essential to prevent the risk of osteoporosis fractures, as well as detect structural changes that bring bone fragility.

Our densitometers are low radiation and calculate bone density at different points of the skeleton.

We recommend this study to women who have entered menopause, since estrogen production is decreased and, consequently, bone density is lost. On the other hand, we also recommend it to breastfeeding women, since they can suffer significant calcium losses.

During pregnancy, it is important to carry out diagnostic tests to identify the presence of possible congenital defects in the fetus or maternal risk factors that may require strict controls throughout of pregnancy. An early diagnosis has a fundamental role in advancing to circumstances.

We perform follow-up and ultrasound control of pregnancy. These studies offer genetic, biochemical, physiological and anatomical information to evaluate the correct development of the fetus and prevent complications and pathologies.
Doppler ultrasound provide information of the blood flow circulating through the chambers and valves of the baby’s heart, allowing us to know the amount of blood pumped and to stody the heart valves the heart walls. They are the best test for the non-invasive diagnosis of fetal anemia and to determine the risk of preeclampsia in pregnant women.

Imaging studies before and after an aesthetic procedure are the great allies for better treatment planning, as well as for the control of results.

This technique allows us to visualize and assess non-surgical, facial and body implants, as well as possible changes in the subcutaneous cell tissue, before and after cosmetic skin treatments. They also allow us to determine metabolic risks.

Our densitometers allow us to study body composition before and after surgical processes, such as bariatric surgery, the gastric balloon or ring.

The TAC allows us to keep an exhaustive control of bariatric surgeries.

Because the best tool is prevention

“Very, very qualified staff, spectacular treatment; from the attention when entering as Dr. Manuel Salvador, who listens to you carefully and treats your problem as if it were his. Very sophisticated and precise machinery. 100% recommendable!“
