Exploration and diagnostic techniques

We perform a wide range of tests and studies of high quality and precision

TAC

TAC (Computerized Axial Tomography) is a radiological technique that allows you to see the inside of the organs, obtaining multiple images that are processed and integrated into a final image. It is the basis of the diagnosis of many pathologies such as fractures, blood clots, hemorrhages, heart problems or in the detection of suspicious cancer lesions. Data collection is very extensive and anomalies that do not appear on a simple radiograph can be detected.

CT scan is fast, painless, non-invasive and accurate. In Imagine Barcelona we have a state-of-the-art SIEMENS Somatom SCOPE TAC device that has allowed us:

40% less radiation

50% less noise

Highest quality images

MAMOGRAFIA

3D MAMMOGRAPHY BY TOMOSYNTHESIS

It is the x-ray of the breast. It is performed with the mammographer, a special radiological equipment that, with very low radiation, is able to detect multiple problems at very early stages. It is essential to detect breast cancer in a phase where the woman has not yet experienced symptoms.

In our center we have a 3D mamography tomosynthesis. With a gentle compression of the chest, for a few seconds, we obtain several images that are evaluated by our radiologist doctors. After performing the test, in just 20 minutes, we will deliver the diagnostic report ready for delivery to your specialist, and, if necessary, we will advise you on the way to folow onwards.

DOPLER

ULTRASOUND, DOPPLER AND SONOELASTOGRAPHY

A diagnostic method dy ultrasound generates images of the structures within. It has multiple applications: diagnostics of gallbladder diseases, prostate or genital problems, as a complementary mammography test (breasts), to evaluate metabolic bone diseases or inflammation in the joints, to visualize the uterus and ovaries during pregnancy, among others.

Combined with Color Doppler ultrasound and Power-Doppler, we can see the blood flow. This way we can evaluate and carry out vascular studies of the lesions.

Finally, sonoelastography, the latest advance in ultrasound - in which we are also a pioneer center- allows us to determine whether or not a lesion is malignant, without the need for a biopsy. It shows the elasticity of the tissues and is used for the study of focal lesions and for the early detection of different types of cancer.

At Imagine Barcelona we have several ultrasound scanners of the most recognized brands. Our doctors have extensive knowledge and background and are constantly trained to apply the most innovative methods and practices.

DENSITOMETRÍA

DENSITOMETRY

Densitometry is a diagnostic test used to determine Bone Mineral Density (BMD). Our densitometers are low radiation and calculate bone density at different points of the skeleton.

Thanks to this test, we foresee the risk of osteoporosis fractures, as well as detect structural changes that become more fragile bones.

We recommend the study to people with a family history of osteoporosis or suffering from diseases related to bone loss, hypoparathyroidism and hyperparathyroidism.

RADIOLOGÍA SIMPL

SIMPLE RADIOLOGY

Plain radiography is the most common method of diagnostic radiology. It is the most basic system, but it is essential in current medical practice.

At Imagine Barcelona we have a digital equipment of conventional radiology that allows the realization of all types of projections, as well as tests with contrast, such as hysterosalpingography, intravenous urography or esophagogastric traffic, among others.

ORTOPANTOMOGRAFIA

ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPHY

Orthopantomography is a panoramic radiographic technique with which a maxillary image of the patient's jaw and teeth is obtained. Thanks to this test we develop accurate diagnosis and detect possible pathologies or dental alterations.

TELERADIOGRAPHY

Cranial teleradiology is based on an x-ray of the patient's face. It is carried out at a greater distance than usual, about 2 meters from the plate, so that the image is sharp and is not distorted by the bony structures of the skull. It allows us to see with precision the face and teeth bones of the patient.

They can be frontal or lateral and, apart from being fundamental in orthodontics, they are very useful in diagnoses of pathologies such as sinusitis.
